I know some of our readers think the cartoonists here are in communication with one another. Maybe some are. We seem to be below the radar. We’ve only once heard from other cartoonist about a guest appearance of their character. Most of them don’t seem to know our strip exists.
I don’t know Dustin. This is a week of Christmas reruns, and this is from many years ago, although it’s an updated version, with the art altered after Rey came along, and Roy and Kathy lost weight.
My Photoshop was from 2012. The computer was from 2008- 13 years old- but with a new hard drive installed in 2015.
My 2010 laptop was replaced last year with a 2011. The old one was losing its ability to type the letter T. Also a frequently necessary letter. And it randomly crashed without much more ado.
I do the lettering and color. I started shortly after Mark Schultz came on as writer, when Gary Gianni was the artist. Thomas Yeates replaced Gary in 2012, and Schultz and Yeates are still the creative team. I’m technically a production guy, so I don’t get my name on it. And, of course, I don’t give spoilers on what’s coming up…
This is the same trick that is used in ‘simplifying’ taxes. One step becomes five, and those who designed it, for some unfathomable reason, believe in their little hearts, that they’ve made it easier.
Thirteen, actually. But that was the actual body of it. The hard drive was replaced in 2015. But the thing was getting slower than a high school production of THE CRUCIBLE, and wonky in oh, so many ways.
I feel your pain. I’m still in that morass of trying to remember every little thing that’s still not on board the new computer. It’s like an officer leading his troops through a storm, and not always knowing which ones are keeping up and which are dropping behind.
My account profile says I’m on the free plan.
