Have you ever seen Rall’s cartoons? “No nuance” is his middle name. Everything is either “exactly the way Bernie Sanders would do it” or “it sucks.”

Because the only two possible outcomes are “get everything I want immediately” and “things are exactly the same forever”?

Actual voters need to evaluate what specific Dem and GOP candidates are actually promising – like the NC Gov debate, where the GOP candidiate just came out in favor of limiting marriage to hetero couples. GOP candidates and leaders are saying a lot of things like that: you just have to listen and believe that they will try to do what they say they will.

Ted, this is deliberate propaganda designed to suppress votes on the left. You should be ashamed of yourself.

If there are multiple CEOs working at one company, someone is really misunderstanding the concept.

Of either unions, or CEOs. Or maybe both.

Anyone else looking at that guy’s face and reading all of his dialogue in Tom Waits’s voice?

    No? Just me?

I know we’re supposed to identify with Wallace, but this just seems so quintessentially American – destroying something useful for momentary “freedom” when you know you’ll need it later – that I can only shake my head.

As usual, the underlying message of every Rall cartoon is “if you don’t agree with me on every last thing, you are evil – there is no room, ever, for compromise or coalitions.”

And then he wonders why his preferred policies never happen.

Yeah, this is just wrong in almost every possible way: Rall even flubs Toole’s first name. Publishers are not governments, nor “controlling bodies” to use Rall’s dictionary-definition phrase.

Rall, if you want a “transgressive” take, why don’t you dig into all of the books that ARE being banned, right now, all across America? They’re mostly YA novels, mostly by and about POC and LGBTQ+ people, and mostly not getting the attention MAUS is. And they’re being pulled wholesale from libraries and schools and even, in some places (Tennessee, for one), actually burned.

First time Batman punched a random mugger: 1939.

First appearance of the Wayne Foundation: 1964. (Originally the Alfred Foundation, as a memorial for his then-believed-dead butler.)
