   My father did pen and ink for some cartoonists in the 60’s and 70’s. His name was Les Rhodes. He worked for George Crenshaw and Dick Rogers, on strips like Belvedere, Nubbin, and Johnny Wonder, and Simpkins. These history strips have brought back memories of strathmore sheets, spilled winsor newton ink, zipatone shading and syndicate mailing deadlines. My Dad was great with both brush and rapidograph pens for lettering, and used a light table a lot for tracing characters.

   My Dad was in the Army Air Corp in New Guinea developing aerial photographs. His stories were mostly about the friends he made. My mother’s brother was a mechanic on a B-17 and says he was the only mechanic in North Africa when they first arrived there. My Uncle and Dad were later playing golf together when my mother joined them on the course after the war. But I have many more un-asked questions for them.

   My string of RGB lights even flashes red and blue when there’s motion detected at night.

   I sent my sinuses to Arizona..I sent my liver to Peru.
