Teachers ARE underpaid. Those summers aren’t all spent sleeping in and going on vacation. I have a ton of friends who are teachers and every single one of them get summer jobs because their salary is so low. Many parents expect teachers to be all of those things, and teachers strive to be them. For the hundreds of kids who don’t have a solid role model in their life, teachers are those things. Teachers ARE paid crap now and all these budget cuts in the educational system are detrimental. off soapbox Love the strip today!
Well, I might be one of the only ones, but I never got spanked and am perfectly fine. I’m nice, considerate of others (to a fault, people sometimes walk all over me), have never gotten more than a speeding ticket, have a good job, never done drugs, never hurt someone… I’m not a spoiled brat, either. it IS possible, I’m proof. Parents can discipline in other ways than spanking.
Once my older brother (I was 6, he was 18) hid in my closet and closed the door shut right after I turned off the lights. But he was a bit smarter…. as soon as I ran to my parents, he went back to his room!
We beat UT last week… I’m sure OU will do it this week. Sorry, family, your team sucks this year.
