    Houses (or cap covers) do not amortize; they may depreciate. Amortization is for intangibles. In comic reality I suppose everything might be considered an intangible.

    Mmmmm Vlad the Impaler: short version. a show last night that said he and his bro were traded as collateral to the Ottomans. He wasn’t pretty so he was thrown in prison from whence he apparently learned about torture; his brother (Radu the handsome) was pretty and went into the sultan’s young man harem….what ARE those called? Once back in Romania, finding it without any discipline imposed deathly order. One account says Vlad refused to continue sending 500 Romanian boys/year (not merely for military training) to the pedofile ottomans so the Moslems came to extract their due and were very quickly demoralized by seeing Vlad’s forest of the Impaled. Not your normal PBS special.
