Heh, I can just picture Patrick Warburton voicing the adult Calvin there.
The first “Calvin and Hobbes” strip of 1995… i.e. the strip’s final year.
I wonder why Hobbes is threatening Calvin there? Does he want to read the comic (as usual)?
This always made me laugh as a kid, seeing a big snow chicken.
Our high school starts after 7 AM. I remember feeling like I was losing sleep during that time! But the elementary schools here all start at 9 AM.
All too relatable. The second panel looks especially hilarious! Also, imagine if Calvin said that last line in Japanese…
At least it’s nowhere as bad as “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown” made it. He had to read “WAR AND PEACE!” Over a thousand pages long!
The first daily strip of 1995, but now they are running AHEAD of the Sunday strips.
Funny enough, for a while my DAD wanted to read me the same bedtime story every night when I was a kid!
Dopey Dad’s face in the third panel is priceless! I can also picture this classic cartoon sound effect accompanying it:
