Why are we here? -good question grandma. God has a wonderful purpose for the earth and for mankind. He “did not create [the earth] simply for nothing” but “formed it even to be inhabited. It is Jehovah’s purpose to have a perfect human family dwell on earth eternally. God’s Word says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) Yes, humankind was meant to enjoy everlasting life in Paradise on earth.
1 Corinthians 15:26 “As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.” Regardless, of what we know, Death is never our friend. In the Bible there are nine recorded resurrections. On the first day of his being raised, the Bible reveals, Jesus appeared on five different occasions to some of his disciples. (Matt. 28:1-15; John 20:11-25; Luke 24:13-43) Then, during the days that followed, he showed himself to them several more times, once to upward of 500 disciples! (John 20:26-29; 21:1-19; 1 Cor. 15:3-7. So we can understand then when Acts 17:31 says ‘Jesus is the guarantee of the resurrection to man.’At John 11:11 Jesus likens death to sleep. There are clinical deaths and a biological deaths, both of which one can recover (but not the latter, right now). Scientists, say “We only use one-one hundredth of 1% percent of our total brain capacity within a seventy to eighty year lifespan.” Clearly, we were meant to live longer than we do now. It is estimated that at least 20 billion people of every one who has ever lived and died. In the near future, of those 20 billion who make up the resurrection to life on earth- each person can have one acre of land to live on, so there will be space for everyone.Peace and Good Health
