Our house had two carpeted walls when we bought it. One wall had tack strips at the top and bottom, and shag carpet. The other had a short pile carpet that was glued to the wall. The first was easy, just rip it down, patch the holes, and paint. The glued carpet took part of the drywall with it when we took it down. We paneled that wall, replacing the drywall wasn’t in the budget.

My mother rescued a tiny, starving kitten someone dumped at her house. Her Boston Terrier seemed to think it was a puppy and they got along great. The cat would run up to the Boston, bat its nose a few times, and take off running. They’d then chase each other around the house. The Boston recently passed from old age (between 13 and 14, he was well cared for) and the cat still misses him, as does my Mom.

That must be Grandma’s house. When our first grandson was born, we moved all of the Tupperware to the lowest cabinet. We had loads of fun finding things to do with it. I’m also proud to say that Grandma, Grandpa, and Grandson all slept well after a visit.

Uh Oh! They’ve developed the Walking Spy from the old Johnny Quest series.

You might even score a double barrel sling shot if Mom isn’t looking.

It’s simple. Women decorate themselves. Makeup, hair (shape and color), clothes (lots of clothes), shoes (also in abundance), and jewelry in all shapes and forms. Piercings, rings, necklaces, bracelets (arm and ankle), tattoos, and anything else that makes them feel they fit in and stand out at the same time. I’m a husband, and father of two daughters. I learned long ago the dangers of interfering with a woman’s (even a miniature one’s) desire to decorate themselves. Those battles must be chosen very carefully.
