I read an interview with Mr Johnson a few years ago where he said something to the effect that giving Arlo a boat was a mistake because he didn’t know where to go with it. That’s not an exact quote, but that was the essence of his thoughts on the subject.
If you ask him directly in this forum he just might give you an answer.
Glad to finally see other intelligent and clear thinking people agree with me that that a year of “should they move or not” is rather tedious and far beneath the creative excellence that Jimmy use to daily demonstrate.
Jimmy’s been dragging this exciting plot line out for about a year now, by the time he figures out if they are going to move or not the choice is going to between nursing homes.
Jimmy could have had so much fun with A&J sailing misadventures.
Granted it wouldn’t have been as hysterical and emotionally captivating as having a year long “should we or should we not move” plot line, but there were many tropes, cliches, comic situations & happenings that we could have enjoyed.
I always keep an extra roll around just in case
