war is always ugly, that people can find some black humor to survive speaks of the human spirit not humanity.

I am surprised at the overall liberal lean of the is re-affirming. this is my first stop in the morning after the weather and before the is a steadying force in an unsteady world- a little humor, no small amount of philosophy, a community of all.

how to know what is true? ‘all sides of an issue’ on the internet/media include space lasers controlling the weather. of course I want to look at the sites that validate my view, but perhaps the best we can do is pick a few sites of some repute WSJ NYT for example on different sides and avoid the hysteria of click bit and demagoguery. and invest in education – teachers and schools, “An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people”. sadly true… already island peoples are being displaced. and to rebuild along some of Fl and NC coasts is a fool’s errand— currently being paid for by FEMA and NFIP aka the American taxpayers. happy to help those affected but want them to relocate not rebuild again and again and let’s put our efforts and money into stopping this maddest of continuing to ignore and not remedy the tragedy of climate change.

a beautiful poem reaffirming of life and hopethat Alex’s life was cut a tragedy that we should take to heart to change[- not to start a rancorous discussion of what that could mean]let’s just let Alex’s poem be a moment of progress and progress to start anewthank you Alex and Yakety for sharingin spring a time of renewal, beauty- planting seeds to nurture together not shower with vitriolic poison.. peace
exactly, and good heavens do we want to go back to Medieval English, yikes. ‘gifting’ makes me cringe but I find myself now ‘gifting’ too. nothing woke here just being awake to the fact that things evolve and we can live best by evolving and growing ourselves and accepting that different people are well different and believe different things and can be valued for who and what they are and we can still be ourselves- no judgement just being…. a holiday ‘gifting’ of love
