I first encountered the Nintari name in 1991’s Adventures of Willy Beamish.

I was wondering about that. Just a curious question- is Brian locked out of his creator account? Why is he “redandrover/Premium Member” rather than “Brian Basset/Creator”?

Just learned today of the end of Rick’s other strip (Mt. Pleasant with Kent Sligh- I load up the site here Sundays and go back a week). For some reason, the news is nowhere to be found here as the strip has since been completely removed so I had to search the internet for what happened. Sorry to hear it didn’t work out with declining newspaper relevance. I’m disappointed though it doesn’t remain here in archived form, but I’m sure Rick and Kent have their reasons.

Ella just had a week about solving word problems in Mt. Pleasant. She too had a problem involving two trains meeting a few days ago.

I’m going to suppose that Red’s age is actually fixed in the strip, but the year can be fluid. Kind of like the Goldbergs, with the year set to “1960/70-something” but the character ages are fixed as they can be in a non-live setting.

Huh. I once asked Lincoln Peirce here if someone else drew the “Nate drawing” strips at one time (thought I had heard this was true), his kid (if he has one) or another, but nope- he drew everything, but now this creator does have a talented kid draw a strip. Cool.

Red’s reaction would be mine exactly. :D

Records are made to be broken- just ask Guinness.

With Ella not around, Albie is acting like a teen again. But I guess Big Nate at age 11 is similar about the ladies (though he lacks Albie’s intelligence).

As the youngest myself, I feel the pain of your siblings. :D These days my brother is a very different person, but growing up…
