Happens to the best of us. Decades of undiagnosed AFib led to 4 heart operations (all vascular) between ages 38 and 40. Needed to be awake for 3 of them. You haven’t lived until you’ve felt the inside of your heart cut open, surgical implements passed through, and then that part sewn back shut.
What I hate about the current format, classics 6 days a week, new ones on Sundays, is that we’ll be denied Andy’s passing. It was a beautiful strip, with him leaving peacefully, finally listening to Pet Sounds on CD.
Is this a rerun, or am I having comic strip deja vu?
