   I love that. I was going to be a teacher once… got my degree and then changed my entire path. When I did my student teaching quarter, my project for the two week solo portion was a creative writing exercise. Those country teachers scoffed at the idea – after all, these kids were only first graders. Boy, did those kids surprise them! I loved it, honestly, but ultimately I knew it wasn’t for me as a career, and at that moment in time, the population explosion had not yet begun in the county where I lived that now has the largest school system in the state. No teaching jobs available for newbies. Go figure! Anyway, I will always treasure those memories.

   Journaling is such good mental exercise anyway! I love notebooks and pens, and I am a fan of journaling. It started when I was a child and I read Harriet the Spy. The idea of writing down observations just clicked with me and I’ve been a journaler ever since. That’s just about 50 years now…

    Oh wow, I do this all the time myself! I watch movies by streaming on my desktop computer and have a bad habit of pausing to Google for filming locations or actors to see what else they were in WHILE I’m still watching the movie. It’s bad if I go down a rabbit hole and lose track of the gist of the movie!
