…. and those on the right don’t see the hypocrisy of a convicted felon “upholding the laws” of this country. I’m going to refer to him as the Convict-in-Chief, not the Commander-in-Chief.

Who cares what it looks like? You’re not wearing it out in public, so who cares? Who else is going to see it, other than family members?

I had to look that one up, as I’ve never heard of that type of omelet. It sounds absolutely delish! I’d eat that, for sure.

What’s new about this? The Republicans were railing about “death panels” when debating the ACA. Health insurance companies ARE the death panels, they’ve always existed. The pay, benefits and perks of these CEO’s is obscene. You can bet they don’t have to fight their insurance company to get the best care out there.

My great uncle was a corporate attorney. He did plenty of pro bono non-corporate work for people he felt needed it. His elderly mother-in-law was almost kicked out of the nursing home for no reason. He sicced an elder law attorney on said nursing home, and they gave up trying to kick her out. He spoke fluent Italian (he came to the US from Italy in 1929, at age 6, speaking only Italian). He made a house call to an elderly woman who was a member of his church who was house-bound (this was in the 1990’s) so she could dictate her last will and testament to him Italian (she didn’t speak any English). Out of respect to the memory of his mother, he REFUSED any payment from this elderly woman or anyone in her family for his services. He went back to his office, translated the will into English so it could be typed up in both languages! He then went back to the elderly woman’s home with both copies of the will for her to sign. I could go on with other examples of my great uncle. He was offered a county judgeship. He turned it down, because he wanted to continue to do some pro bono work for people. He also did pro bono work for members of the family, including me.

You ever hear the expression “holy s**t”?

It’s called “butt”, but it’s actually the shoulder. Why it’s called butt, I don’t know.
