Sorry about missing that reply button. So if consensus equals correctness, Galileo and Copernicus were completely wrong about the earth circling the sun? Scientists and the church leaders of the times were in a consensus that they were wrong in their beliefs. Actually, science is NOT a question of consensus. Many scientists do NOT support the theory of man-made climate change. But if man-made climate change is in fact real, and human activity is causing these changes, why are only the capitalist countries being forced to change? China is opening new coal-fired energy plants at an amazing pace but they are not asked to slow down. Why? Political motivation, perhaps? Anyway, you believe what you want, and support whatever theories you want, but I sincerely hope that the road I’m kicking my can down lasts at least through the next three or four centuries while humankind finds actual, effective alternative energy sources… G’day!

Well, I’m an old man and have been both bunked and de-bunked many times over, and now by Reuters. I can take it.

Please explain how humans created the warm Earth that had tropics thriving on the North Pole. Move over, Santa. No people that we are aware of lived on Earth at that time (50,000,000 years ago) to cause global warming.. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/study-north-pole-once-was-tropical/

Mars is also experiencing global warming today, some say. I wonder which humans are causing that? https://www.spaceflightinsider.com/missions/solar-system/is-mars-undergoing-global-warming-data-from-curiosity-suggests-it-might-be/

As Greenland’s glaciers are melting, settlements are being uncovered. That means that 1,000 years ago, Greenland was warmer than it is now apparently. Maybe that warm spell was caused by all the automobiles Erik The Red had imported?

It’s not likely that sunspot activity plays a large role in global warming, but it surely plays some role as the sun is now brighter than it was a hundred years ago.

The discussion of this is much larger than you and I, scientifically, but politically, for me anyway, it is pretty simple. The Socialists want to tax (take) away from the producers and give (buy votes) from the others. It is about power, not caring.

But I still enjoy Over The Hedge, I just wish it didn’t go political so often.

Climate change is real, no doubt about that. In its millions of years existence, Earth’s climate has changed many times as it is continuously changing. That’s why there have been ice ages and warming periods. But none of that is caused by man. One volcanic eruption spews more CO-2 into the atmosphere than man will ever do. Science and reason will get to the truth much more directly and truthfully than political jingoism. Even if the Radical Left convinces 100% of the population that they are responsible for ruining the Earth with CO-2, it still won’t be true. No matter how many people believe a lie, it is still a lie.

No, No. You must have misunderstood me. I’m definitely against Biden and his Democrat-Socialist Brownshirts traitors. The ones that you apparently support. You really need to research what you are supporting. But what Joe is doing is working out fine, I guess. Because of his many failures, he will be trounced in 2024 unless the Dems can dig up more dead people to vote for him, which no doubt they will try again. It worked out well for them the first time, after all.

None of them are working as hard as good, ole, Uncle Joe to drive his numbers down, along with the Democrat Party itself. Liars, dissemblers, prevaricators, and worst of all, Anti-American Socialist Communists, all of them.

It was nice that he could go to the local Home Depot to get the kiln-dried lumber for the project. He probably paid extra clams to have it delivered to the construction site.
