Well, you gotta have SOME fun and excitement at the office every now and then, or you’re asking for endless, mind-numbing drudgery.Good afternoon, Cathy Clan!
“Hoo boy” (to quote the Cathy characters): I missed a whole week and was just catching up on all the dress code strips. Thought of my fiancé, a high school teacher, who (like all the teachers) is told to send girls to the office for too short skirts and shorts or blouses that are too low cut. He won’t do it — because then he’d be accused of LOOKING.I have to actually admire Cathy through all of this for looking professional and not having a “who cares” attitude about office dress. Of course, she could only be jealous of the other ladies’ bodies…
When I started teaching, I was told “Don’t smile until the third week of school.” I didn’t follow that advice, and things usually turned out just fine.
Wait…how many times do we get a strip with no Cathy?!? This is weird. And if it makes you feel any better, blond lady, I’m yawning at the others.Have a great weekend, Cathy Clan. Friends in the U.S., enjoy your 3-day weekend!
Back when you had 12, 24, or 36 frames on a roll of film, you had to be very selective about what pictures to take. Wait, am I yearning for a “simpler time”? lol.Happy Thursday, Cathy Clan!
I’m really kind of bummed about the decline of old-fashioned photo albums (and newspapers, and hardback books…).But at least technology lets me talk to my friends here! Have a good rest-of-the-day, Cathy Clan!
I think Cathy’s Mom is pretty wise here. And I love the last panel, too.Going to a big high school football game tonight. Anyone else excited about football???Have a great weekend, Cathy Clan!
And how much will you have to pay the assemblers? She’d have been better off buying a nicer desk and having it delivered!Teresa – loved your story yesterday about the wheelbarrow. Will have to remember that tactic.Good afternoon, Cathy Clan.
I like how sometimes the assembly instructions have obviously been put into English by someone who doesn’t know English very well. It can be very amusing…and frustrating!Susan — your story arc idea is spot on! And Sally — what you said is definitely true in my world. Good afternoon, Cathy Clan.
