Been over for over a month here, but it is not the cold, it is the rain.

My brother is a police officer, and when I showed him this he said "Well while I sympathize with her, I am still bound by the legal system. I might let her off with a warning should her record be otherwise clean. Then I might say “You can tell her you might have a case for mental abuse-talk to an attorney.”

Liara once said “Theoretical particle physics based on specialized base-twelve mathematics aren’t exactly my specialty.” Of course only Mass Effect fans would get that joke.

So could he also be base 12 instead

TransCanine I suspect. That would make him a cat?

It doesn’t work with GenX either, but our generation was too small compared to the other generations, so we couldn’t put those plans into action. Took Millennials and Gen Z to push it.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. We bought an artificial tree 13 years ago and it still works. When I look at the cost of recently harvested trees, I look at the artificial and think what a smart move it was.

I run Windows 11 on one drive, Linux Mint on the other. I boot more into Mint unless I want to run my old Windows games which Wine doesn’t like and which Proton doesn’t like.

Ummmm—evidently they don’t watch their local Antiques Roadshow—-that could be an expensive fire!

Actually modern thoughts about thumbs down and up in Rome are incorrect. Those thoughts are based on Pollice Verso (Thumbs Down) by Jean-Léon Gérôme, the 19th-century painting.

Thumbs down means “Swords down”. The losing gladiator was saved.

Thumbs up meant “Thrust him” or kill the losing gladiator.

A simple fist with the thumb on the outside meant save the loser and give medical treatment.
