There are still people who write and live as working men, but most of them are indie, like Tom Smith or JoCo. But this strip, I ended up staring at it for several minutes. I saw the humor, but also the honest horror in the strip that really reflects on how the entertainment industry works for the big names.

I’m surprised so many people didn’t get this. I saw it and just laughed. But then, I’ve spent the last week in an out of hospitals because of three different family members.

Dear, dear Josh. The reason there should not be a TV show is simple. If they put this on television, the creator and artist would loose total control, the producers, which make horrible shows that they THINK will sell, will be making all the choices, and it will completely and totally not only the spirit but the life of this strip. No, my dear fellow reader, while the prospect is at first alluring, a television series would only kill the Over the Hedge we know and love.

Next thing you know, he’ll find little stuffed rabbits all over his room. Better nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand.

Well, that explains a couple of things. I love Calvin and Hobbes, own all the treasuries and the ultimate collection, but there was no real ending. Now we have one. Now it makes sense.
