I find it bizarre that people are more intersted in eating out of season veg than eating stuff which actually tastes nice. Most of the apples we get in the UK are either south african, french or south american and they dont taste of anything.
Meanwhile vast areas of UK orchards are being left to rot or are being dug up.
The supermarkets can make as much fuss as they want about caring for the local economy but the bottom line is buy cheap from anywhere and sell for a massive profit.
