Henry & Rachel: It’s been a tough year, and I know many readers (including me) have been very critical of your work. Have a great holiday season, and lets all look forward to a better 2025.
In fairness, I think Mr. Barajas DOES care. But he is handicapped by not really being in tune with the long term characters (and the long term readers), and by now having an artist who frankly appears to lack the basic drawing skills needed for a strip that is supposed to depict real humans, not sci-fi monsters or whatever she usually draws. Very sad.
An interesting, and sadly realistic, twist. Kudos to you, Henry. If I’m gonna criticize when you get stuff wrong, I’ve gotta compliment when you get something like this very right. Well done.
Such precision, attention to detail — dare I say artistry? — in the rendering of the house exterior. But crappy rapid sketch work for the humans. What is up with Ms. Merrill and her drawing? It is a disservice to the great Gil Thorp and all who revere him.
