This reminds me of when they had a syndicated Star Trek newspaper comic. It would drive me batty whenever they had an action scene, because a fight would take about two weeks, four panels at a time.
I half expected Cracked Cat not to recognize her, and another week of tense emotional gut-punches to follow. I’ve been following this strip so long, I forgot what a happy ending is supposed to look like!
I must say, though, that the photorealistic cars in contrast to Wally has never made him seem more toony. I’m getting some big Roger Rabbit energy out of it.
I guess that answers my next question, as to whether all this airborne stuff is falling, or just mysteriously suspended in the air like grapes in a Jello salad.
At this point, the only thing which might surprise me is if the mutts turned out to be there to help them.
