    So be it.

This present story line may be current and realistic, but I don’t like it – for whatever that’s worth.

When my wife came home from the market back in the 1980’s, I would estimate how much she’d spent by multiplying the number of paper bags by $5. It was usually not far off from the actual total.

It’s too bad that this comic strip decided to go woke. No need for it.

My daughter was a lifeguard at Hampton Beach, NH and witnessed the lifeguard at the next station up the beach, get killed by a lightning bolt. She’s in her 50’s now and quite respectful of the danger when thunderstorms are in the area.

Your comment is appropriate in Turkish as well. I was stationed in Turkey in the 1950’s and had to live on the economy as opposed to living on a base. I learned a fair amount of spoken Turkish and as I recall, peach in Turkish means something like bastard of son of a b.

Your comment that “NOT EVERY senior who gets it even gets symptoms” might apply to me. I’m in my 80’s and physically fit. It’s rare for me to have any temperature. When I have one, I know that I’m sick. However a couple of weeks ago I started running a 99.8 fever throughout the evening, but felt fine. Next morning the fever was gone and I’ve felt fine since. Perhaps someday I might get an antibody test to see if I had it then.

Miracle Whip for me also. I don’t dislike mayo but greatly prefer MW. A ripe brandywine tomato, Miracle Whip, salt and pepper on wheat bread makes a tasty sandwich to my liking.
