Years ago our town had a boutique audio shop. I was in one day and a guy was buying speakers to replace ones that burned out while his son was listening through headphones.
It’s over for Eddie, but for no one else. Dad’s trying to figure out an assembly. Not sure what Toby is up to (figuring out how to use some new gadget?). And looks like Mom is calling to question a charge on a receipt (or maybe arrange an exchange, Grampa’s shirt perhaps).
We never had silver tinsel, but I remember the old stuff made of lead that would fall off the tree and short out the Lionel trains. When we took down the tree we always tried to get the tinsel off to use next year.
We had a cat named L. S. Wiggins. We originally named him Wiggins (after the street waif in Sherlock Holmes) as he and littermates were found playing in the street (poorly traveled fortunately). After bringing him home and watching his antics for a few days the L. S. were added. They were the result of all our “did you see what the Little S*it just did?” comments.
I don’t particularly consider commenting here social media. Yes, there is a social component to it but for the most part the rancor and general discourtesy is absent here. Unfortunately even here some comments wander off into the political arena and generate the expected responses. Like you I don’t play in any of the accepted (mainstream?) social mediums. Though that may change as I’m finding more and more of my hobby interests are creating discussion groups on Facebook.
