   A young person who is both lucky and patient will learn first hand what it is like to be old. No point in hurrying the lesson, but I am enjoying the experience, hoping there are still several more chapters to go. Over 30,000 pages so far.

   People who do not pay attention to ‘news’ from sources with various political leanings are almost certainly misinformed on many topics. For instance, many still believe anti-Trump hoaxes like ‘drinking bleach’, ‘fine people’, ‘overfed koi fish’, & many others. See also the recent comments by URI Berliner about NPR.

   Two deliveries a day, mailman on foot. Without the junk mail, the leather bag held it all. Now we justify junk mail as partially supporting the cost of trucks needed to haul the junk mail.

   I don’t think the phrases Rat is talking about rise to the level of ‘jargon’. They are more like pieces of debris in word salad. Simply ways of saying, “Let’s pretend we know what we are talking about but wisely choose to not make any decisions.”
