I’ve worn hard lenses on and off over the years. I’ve slept in them (very odd getting up in the morning and you can see) and my eyes weren’t glued or swollen shut. Unless this only happens with soft lenses.
I’ve only seen it 4 times, but the 4th time was at the theater in 3D. Worth the cost. I cried and got the shivers each time I saw it. Thought the bunny was a nice touch.
I loved it. The carnivores are turkeys and the herbivores are fruits and nuts. But, I’m an omnivore, so I guess that puts me in the fruit and nut turkey?
I think grandma found one of those up-scale children’s play sets. I’ve seen them and everything is tiny compared to the real thing. All of my china (30+ years old), my mom’s china (50+ years old), and the real old stuff I’ve seen in thrift shops are all the same size, normal – which means enough room for all the food, maybe.
I don’t care what your color is. If you come too close behind me at an ATM, I’ll get nervous. I’ve had to tell two white guys to back off when I was making a purchase using my card. Both were close enough to have seen the PIN as I punched it in. Mt attitudes is if you’re at a reasonable distance from me, I don’t care. Come up close enough to be staring over my shoulder and I’ll deck ya.
I lived in Chicago for the first 25 years of my life and been in the ’burbs for the last 30. I STILL miss walking down a the street to the bus stop, el station, finding everything near by. Yeah, I have 4 strip malls within walking distance, but, believe me, the pace of the ’burbs is a lot faster than the city. People move at a different pace, walking is a necessity, not an exercise.
My husband teases nastily all the ime. When you return it, his reaction is even worse. He’ll say it’s tit-for-tat, pout, throw a temper tantrum, and call you a copy cat. Yes, ALL of them for the same offense, but he will then continue the unacceptable behavior.
@K.C.FahelMy hair was in a bowl cut until I started school, then I was allowed to let it grow out. Over the years it has ranged from waist (or slightly longer) length to ultra short punk style (before punk was punk). I’ve had long shags, short shags, pixies, page boys, bobs, layered, permed and heaven knows what else. But, even with HATING getting my hair cut, my one rule was it had to grow out nice, otherwise I would put up with the yuck factor and grow it back out again. As to Teena’s haircut? As far as I can tell from ‘before’ and ‘after’, this is what her original haircut looked like until it grew out. Besides, if I’m not mistaken, the hair dresser originally just shaped it up a bit and Teena herself told her to cut it shorter. I’ve done that, even at her age, and just lived with it. You develop that withering stare when people tease you.
I’m a lot more than 25 lbs heavier than I was in 1960, but then again I was 3 years old at the time. They really don’t understand what the report refers to which just makes it funnier.
Since it is the season, I find that a lot of people from college age on up aren’t too thrilled with some of the ultra gory stuff that passes for horror now a days. My preference is watching the ones made prior to about 1980. I do enjoy some recent ones, generally the horror spoofs, but I’ve also enjoyed ones like ‘The Ring’, ’The Grudge". I pick and chose what I watch and will ask others what they thought of something before seeing it. I hate wasting my time on any movie, regardless of genre.
