   Pretty sure that the dogs, cats, ’n such can or will smell fear. Was advised years ago in that if an aggressive dog comes at you barking, offer your hand in order to it to smell your scent, palm down. Of course, that does not include A LOT of dogs!!!

   I remember seeing a comparison ’tween that bird and a Kangaroo on the NatGeo channel. I forget how fast it was clocked, and how far a ’Roo reached between its jumps/hops.
