Lousy management and lousy record keeping. Unions let you set standards, if you can not do the work, you get written up. I was a safety rep, if someone violated safety rules and got written up, I have to represent him with the superior, but could not justify that behavior. And my fellow workers would refuse to work with an unsafe worker.

House is paid for, I do not get any tax break, but do have Prop 13 break. I live in a city where the voters tuned down a $5 a month tax to repair the streets. They were built by the county before we became a city, and many of them had substandard construction. So they pay more than that to have their wheels aligned.

I am north of Sacramento, just familiar with Cal’s smog problem. Bakersfield not only gets the hot weather like Fresno, Kern County has refineries, and it is all contained by the San Gabriel’s, the Tehachapie’s and the Sierra Nevada, and the air moves west to east across the San Joaquin Valley. It is a major railroad junction, and the trains going east have to add on engines to get to the Mojave.

Unions are the working peoples answer to lousy, manipulative management. You sound like one.
