Naww, it wasn’t even that. It was an extra-duty type of thing. Not even the main job I was hired to do. Nothing like having a government job. Yeah I was a Fed at the time.
Wish it would have been that, but actually I was a brand new hire and the way I was told or informed was waaay worse than what is shown in today’s strip. It was anything but a complimentary move, believe me.
I remember being on the end of just such a conversation with my boss back in my working days. Actually it was worse than this strip. Never forgave the boss for it either.
Try driving toward Gilroy, California, and you can smell the garlic miles before you actually get to the city. It declares itself the garlic capitol of the world, and having driven pass there, I believe it.
I was just thinking along those lines. Believe the pitchers had a better advantage over the batters with the old or original height of the pitcher’s mound.
