   I told a guy once who wouldn’t get off on his phone when he got to the front of the line at the courtesy desk that he could go ahead and finish his call and then he would be the very next person I served. I said it nicely and I wasn’t trying to start anything with him and he just got off right away. It was like I’d entered a parallel universe or something.

   My theory is that we get used to going the same path to get the things we regularly need. They change the layout and you now have to walk by different things and realize you need them or impulse buy new things. It’s a win for retail.

   Small local businesses maybe but corporate? It’d be one absence towards the maximum total you’re allowed to have in a set period before being fired. I’d find a way in.
