I thought it would be fun to give everyone a little history on the phrase “A poke in the eye with a stick” since that’s what Lupin is gleefully doing to Elvis this morning! wordhistories dot net /2021/02/14/ poke-eye-stick/
Most museums change up many of their exhibits after a few years, leaving only a handful as permanent. The Henry Ford only changes one or two and those don’t get changed but every 6 or 7 years at the most. The rest have been on display for thirty years or more and the museum has thousands of things they could exhibit.
I’m pretty effusive over mine. The one thing I’m a bit disappointed with on the new one is it’s got the ball rather than the regular set up. But I’ve gotten used to it and it works just as good as the old one, so overall, I’m just as happy with it. Is it odd to say I’m in love with my vacuum? ;)
My mother always wanted a Rainbow, but could never afford one. That was a dream for her. We were pretty poor when I was growing up and a lot of the work my dad did was paid for by barter. I now have a Dyson Animal vacuum. Someone is going to have to pry that baby from my cold dead hands because it’s been the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I’m on my second on in 18 years. When I got my first one, we had two Dobermans and Thing 2 had two cats. I vacuumed extensively with my old vacuum, then assembled the Dyson and vacuumed again. I had to empty the Dyson three times. I love my Dyson! Worth every penny!
I use Duck Duck Go. Have for a long time. I’m much happier with the results. They’re clean, I don’t get that AI synopsis at the top for the most part, just what I’m looking for. I get results that show everything I’m looking for most of the time though all search engines anymore will show a little bias, I think, but overall, I won’t go back to Google. Ever.
I just know I want it off my phone. I have zero need for any type of AI, I don’t use it, never will use it and it’s becoming more and more invasive on my phone every day. I have two programs now that block it, but it’s become harder to do and I’m afraid eventually, they’ll no longer be able to do that. When it hits the ‘smart’ TV, that’s going to have to go if I can’t block it there too.
Interesting since the Old Testament was written primarily in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek to reach a broader, gentile group as well. So I do like that shirt! John 1:1
You need to find that skit on youtube. I LOVE that skit!! It turned into a portion of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and eventually a Broadway play called Spamalot. (I watched The Monty Python show originally)
