WestofthePecan Premium

Born and raised in the southwest U.S. Red Raider undergrad, then a Lobo. Transplanted to the east coast almost 20 years ago. Live and work in the DC area but don't hold it against me - I'm still a country boy at heart! Happily married to an artist and proud grampa to two boys. I'm told 1957 was a good year, but I really don't remember.

Both seem a bit young to be wearing glasses, don’t they?

I remember Love at First Bite and seem to remember really liking it. I did not remember or know that he dated LBJ’s daughter.

Except in the left lane. Don’t do par or under par and camp in the left lane! That’s in the US, I should add.

How many readers even remember him or that he was famous for his tan?

Is “Slow and Calm” a prequel to “Fast and Furious”? Or the 20th sequel, after they’ve gotten all the speed and anger out of their systems?

An important distinction I think many Americans either don’t appreciate or perhaps even know.

Is that the only number Hammy knows? It’s a great number that I can never remember when I’m trying to be silly with my numbers with my grandkids.

As did over 60 courts and, now nearly four years later, still no evidence of cheating has been found. Except, you know, the voter fraud by repubs, for the most part, such as by his own chief of staff. And even that has been minor, yet the malignant narcissist deranged convicted felon continues to tell the big lie and his cultists believe him. Then call everyone else deranged for not letting him get away with it.

Much of the detective work when I was a cop was doing research, making phone calls, doing the never-ending paperwork, and so on, and that was years ago. Their not being out doing “legwork” isn’t abnormal. Not exciting, but realistic for detectives nonetheless.

She said that the FDIC has the RTC records, and those records aren’t digitized. The RTC was a temporary federal agency created to handle the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s, so when the RTC finished that mission and closed, their records had to go somewhere. The FDIC, a federal agency with a similar mission, makes sense for that. And since we’re talking about the 1980s, of course they wouldn’t all be digital records.
