   So funny! A few years ago, when I moved into my current place, I placed some bird feeders out in the yard, as I had a few trees for that. Then came the squirrels! They took over. In fact, I’m pretty sure they were bringing in squirrels from other neighborhoods. They were having parties out there! I looked out one morning and there were squirrels everywhere. None of the “squirrel-proof” feeders worked. So I just gave up.

   That’s not all. Some of us have metal parts in their bodies, like titanium hips that replaced the old, worn-out one. Or screws they put in to repair a heel fracture! Those will make some noise, too.

   That is exactly why I don’t do the bird feeders anymore. When I first moved out here I set 2 or 3 out and kept them filled. The squirrels took over. They were having parties here, and I suspect that they were inviting squirrels from other neighborhoods over! I looked out my window one morning and they were everywhere! I opened my front door and let my kitties out.

    All of mine (4) like all of it! On their terms, of course! I just don’t have any that are “lap kitties”. They all love affection, especially chin rubs, but if I try to hold one, they immediately want DOWN and go off to the next thing.
