Thanks so much! You’re a very kind person! You never know; when I’m floating next time in the bardo , I may take up the Bard’s practices and pop out of some womb with a ready-to-print novel—a take on the fashion accessory industry, Wore In Pieces. Might start out a new life with a noble prize!
Love to hear that kind of bragging! Maybe someday we can compare favorite classical and jazz? composers and performers. As for the old guys and gals ijn country, PBS had a great multi-part docu on Country Music. Excellent! My favorite country guy is Garth. Keep getting better; you’re doing really well!
Indeed! A stinker!
I don’t want to get too deeply into it, but you’re right—he’s a real sphicter!
No she didn’t. You’re lion!
Just saw your post. I love Ray Bradbury-type fantasy (read him as a boy in 1948 and did a one-shot radio show with him in the early 60’s), but I prefer the hard stuff—Larry Niven-Jerry Pournelle type or these days Douglas Richards, Douglas Phillips or their ilk.
I guess now that my 83rd birthday is solidly behind me, I’m just trying to cram everything I’m interested in—in! Too much cramming, but what- the- hey, I’ll sleep when the lights go out!
“They seek him here, they seek him there
Those Limerickians seek him everywhere
Is he in heaven or is he in hell?
That damned elusive Pimp "
Thanks for asking, Ish and Sol. I guess I’m a faithless Comics reader with a wandering eye. I find myself sometimes off whoring with some metaphysical book or other, or spacing out with science fiction (some would say I’m waxing redundant). Either that, or I’m listening to the powerful and evocative voice of Ben Platt or the jazzified world of Ella, Duke, Sassy and myriad others, liberally interspersed with Paul Simon, The Beatles etc., etc.! At least once a week, I give Luciano and Nessun Dorma a ride. “And so it goes,” as Kurt writes.
Lots more, but my peripatetic, schizo-frenetic odysseys doubtless hold little interest for such cultural rovers as yourselves. Still, I come back periodically to check what the boys and girls are doing to raise a smile. Love you guys!
