Sadly, nearly nothing but a 2-gallon runner bucket and high gauntlet rubber gloves and a very careful walk from the back door where the carboy was – thru the press room, thru the composing room, over exposed water pipes and into the machine. 98 Baumé HNO3. They do not call it fuming Nitric acid without cause.OSHA would have had a brain Hemorrhage had they been invented then.NEVER got a splash burn NOR did I hurt anyone else.Proper care rather than a book of regulations!

Yuppers. That is how it looked to me at the Brazosport Facts, 1960-1962 . . . Good ol’ letterpress newspaper.(Before Hurricane Carla wiped out the press’ DC motor and AC converter . . .) but they left out my Tasope photoengraving machine for the halftone cuts. Amazing what lasers can do now, when we had to use HNO3.

@ewaldoh-If it was only 1% the liability, why did I have to carry insurance in addition to what the hospital provided? The earlier part of your post may well be accurate . . . .

One the other hand – where does it say we, as parents, are required to “entertain” a kid?My Dad used to say, " … use your imagination."“No, do not do that.”Reckon he knew us too well.

Not an OV-2. No such animal. It is an O-2 Cessna Skymaster (Pushme-Pullyou) tiny URL": https://tinyurl.com/ycokdf8r. I flew a Cessna L-19/O-1 Birddog in RVN.

Actually – see John 13:34 which explains how the First and Second Commandments are actually meant to be accomplished – since we most often neither really understand, nor get it right.

  9. about 8 years ago on Last Kiss

So – why did you paint him black?

  10. about 8 years ago on Tarzan

Tarzan should ask her if she realizes how much of her beauty she wastes and destroys by being so hateful and cruel.
