Tofu is lovely (for the most part, some people can screw up anything) and there is no need to make it Impossible as it is not a meat product (and as a vegetarian, I really don’t want to eat anything pretending to taste like real meat, it is gross and over-processed).

There are still people who can’t handle it even with the sedation — I know someone who tried because her doctor insists an open MRI machine won’t have detailed enough results and she just couldn’t deal with once she was in. Not sure what happened after that, though I think deeper sedation was being considered.

Presumably all dogs in the kennel are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations (and would remember the trauma of getting them)

Well he is going to spoil a whole lot faster than Ms. plastic-bottle-with-a-screw-on-cap, so his cost of opening is much higher than hers. Much more vulnerable to accidental spillage and picking up nasty odors from the other fridge contents too.

Our cats mostly got that way as they aged, one was always far-sighted however and took a little maneuvering to find close treats and the surface of the water in the bowl.

Some Baltimore area accents too — my mother’s mother warshed

There are several competing accents (and differing words for many things) in my ancestry and between that and moving around the country over the years, I never know what word is going to come out of my mouth for many items and meals until it does so. We called it something close to “BEER-ohh” with a tiny bit of a yuh sound built into the first part of BEER. I usually call it a dresser now.

My husband’s ESA Komodo Dragon has been a running gag for over a decade – at one point years ago I got him a plushy Komodo Dragon and made Bitey a harness with ESA on it and his own heart-shaped collar tag. Bitey went to live on a desk at work for years and sometimes attended meetings, before the pandemic (he’s working from home now). Over the years, Svetlana the mail-order bride (from a zoo adoption/sponsorship gift) and an intern, Niblet (their baby dragon in a crocheted eggshell) joined the family.

I’m never going to understand the appeal of pricey, dying/dead flowers you get to watch shrivel up and decay in a vase and then toss in the trash. Only had one relationship where my view on bouquets wasn’t believed at first, thank goodness.
