Ran my computer out of storage- i refuse to use the cloud for the reasons you cite. Everything that was on my laptop now lives on an 2TB external drive, and i have plans to back that drive up on another jic i lose it between home & the station where i record a show.

i have about 900+ LPs, and lately have been playing a lot of them again after 30-40 years. i’ve also managed to get CDs of some of my favourite LPs to save wear on the vinyl.

Even with surface noise, vinyl sounds much better.

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains, and the women come out to cut up what remains, jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains and go to your gawd like a soldier.

    Rudyard Kipling
