   The other presidents would at least be able to hide behind the label that what they did was to better or protect America (yeah, I know, Bush did the opposite), but Trump’s crimes are about bettering or protecting only himself. There’s a big difference.

   If you truly support the development and growth of other countries, you have to assume/accept/respect that they will eventually grow to be your equals economically. That’s a global economy. You can’t expect to be the big brother forever.

   I understand your point, but the people who watch and believe Carlson are the same people who will never admit to being conned. They will vote the same way no matter what. They have fully bought into GQP/Trump lies and will never change. The majority of us know the truth of January 6th, and the longer the GQP allows people like McCarthy/MTG/Boebert/Johnson to be the face of the party, the more votes they will lose. The 2022 midterms proved it, let’s hope they continue to make the same mistakes.

   Given that the holdouts only care about their personal brands and getting contributions, I dare say that your scenario is the most likely. The holdouts must love this situation, they have no intention, desire or talent to govern. They just want a headline.

    Until human nature changes and the desire to hold ultimate power is eliminated, we’ll always have to be vigilant for fascism. That goes for individual leaders, religious groups and groups of people who aren’t willing to compromise.
