I live in Montana, this was literally applied to Rep. Zooey Zephyr, silencing her and her constituents.

There is no “constitutional debate”, the Founders were clear they did not want the president to have the sole power to declare war as did European monarchs who impoverished their subjects and imposed death and destruction. That only Congress can declare war is clear, it becomes murky as to the authority of the Commander in Chief. The Founders would have never imagined a president sending troops to Korea, Laos, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic without a war declaration. Ironically, the Founders believed war should only be engaged after much discussion, they assumed comity between Congress and the sitting president, they would weep if they saw the present disarray and outright traitorous behavior within the Republican party.

I very much admire Malcolm Nance’s courage and passion, I worry he went public about going in to fight, will he become a specific target?

A bit off topic, but I was on a city bus yesterday when a Guide Dog instructor boarded with her trainee, a gorgeous male yellow lab. She used a very soft voice and it seemed some leg commands, he fell asleep on her foot. The test was when we stopped by a high school, kids piled on the bus, he passed with flying colors, not distracted. The instructor then told the driver they were headed to another bus, one that takes people to a car park. What an absolutely wonderful relationship humans have with these marvelous canines!

OK, I’m old. As a college freshman, I had to learn how to use a slide rule. Then in my early 20’s, I worked for the phone company as a teller, knew how to make and count back change. Slide rules are extinct, being able to count change is still useful, but with the proliferation of card purchases also heading to the tar pits.

Actually, Lola is based on a real person who lived in Boise, ID. Irrigators had to turn off water to farmers weeks early this year.

Well, I’m just going to comment about a recent experience. Live in a retirement community downtown, people are pretty bad about parking here when they should not, no security. So was crossing our parking lot, an old dude (I’m old!) on a tricked out three-wheeler Harley came buzzing in, almost hit me. He laughed and told me to get out of his way, proceeded to park in our visitor lot, he was no visitor. This is why I don’t “carry”. I will take a hardened biker any day over these freakin’ old rich dudes who want believe the rest of us exist to wipe their donkeys.
