I’ve read One Big Happy in my local daily for years. The ones on GoComics have dates in the first cel about 15 days in advance of the date on which they first appear, but even if I go back 15 days to the strip Mr. Detorie labeled “2-15,” it’s different from the one in the newspaper on Feb. 15, and it’s one I’ve never seen before. It’s nice — extra entertainment, but it makes me very curious. What’s the explanation for this phenomenon?
Nope. Three DOG Night. A dingo is wild. One cannot persuade one to lie upon you to keep you warm. The phrase was originated by Aussie sheep drovers who actually did have multiple SHEEP dogs for such purposes.
In retirement, I’ve gotten into the habit of grading comic strips. I give mostly “F’s” with some D’s, fewer C’s, and a rare B. Today’s One Big Happy with Joe costumed as an injured dog got my extremely seldom-seen A+. Thanks for brightening my day.
