We got our dictionary (Webster) one section at a time at the grocery store for 0.29 a section (big money in the early 60s). The four of us loved to open the dictionary and read a random word and definition. Bonus point if there was a glossy picture page. I still have it and still use it. It is 10" wide by 12" tall by 8" thick.
I always say hi to the owner, and then to the doggie dog. And move on. If the dog comes to me I stand still and let doggie sniff me to determine if doggie wants to have me extend a hand. If so, it is the back of my hand, less threatening. If doggie ignores me, I continue on my way.
Mom once suggested we share one rabbit at a time. I offered my brudder a bite of the business end. He howled, mom took the bunny away from me, and I got grounded.
egg-erly awaiting!
