   No herd immunity from rampant, unchecked diseases. Herd immunity to measles, small pox, and polio were made available due to vaccines. Notably, we have no natural immunity to flus, all of which are ever mutating variants of the 1918 swine flu. This year the early flu shot has already been superceded by a more comprehensive set, including trivalent and quadruvalent adjuvanted formulas for people over 65.Covid-19 is already mutating, and will likely require the same long term vigilence and adaptability.
