This brought back a great memory. Years ago we had a feral cat that lived in our backyard…MaMa Kitty. We fed her, but the birds would always steal her kibble. One day she caught and killed a bird and laid it next to her kibble bowl. They never stole her kibble again.
When I was turning 40 I worked with a young Vietnamese woman. As I was lamenting my age she told me that she didn’t understand our culture. That in Vietnam it was thought that getting older was great because you have gained so much knowledge. That was 31 years ago and I remember it every Birthday. Thank you Gigi for your wisdom.
Our Joey had the same treatment about 5 years ago. It was very successful (he just turned 19). We also did not have to keep him there that long, but there were strict rules for the first 2 weeks. We had only had Joey a little over a year, and he had been left alone with people just coming and feeding him for about a month after his original Dad was hospitalized. He still is a little freaky about staying home alone at night so we were really worried, but he came through like a trooper.
Just got ours!!!
