Disneyland was neat going the four weeks after 9/11 – a bit weird and unreal, but NO crowds. Went in 2005, but the crowds and the $$$ and the long waits were really unreal. Went to DisneyWorld around 2008, but after three days, the kids would rather stay at the motel and play in their pool.
Ha – similar story at work – sort of. A friend and I put an ad in the local personals for a co-worker without him knowing it. He started getting a bunch of letters from women he did’nt know (this was back in the day of no internet, and a local paper was a paper). He ended up marrying one of the respondents, and they are still married today – 40 years later.
Two kittens as of the end of the year to replace one that passed of cancer in June. They both lie on my feet when I read in bed, and the girl likes to snuggle under the covers – just wish they wouldnt scratch on the door at 5 am.
ya – out where I used to live, I would take a back road home from work and there was a nice stand of trees. One day a sign showed up – “Blah Blah neighborhood, soon to be 120 houses here”> Traffic was already terrible in the are, no way was it going to support that many new commuters. Moved within a year of that sign going up.
Magic the Gathering cards – when they first came out I bought several packs and gave them to a friends nephew. several years later, he sold one of the cards for $100….
and some of the photos are so blurry, you cant tell what is in them
