Well, this afternoon it’s off to Iceland to celebrate Thanksgiving. Jojo is staying home, with a friend of mine coming in each day to make sure she has everything she needs. For a shorter trip, I think she does better at home than at the Vet’s.
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: My friends and courtiers, it gives me great pleasure to introduce our special guest of honor, Spike, who is visiting from the desert of Needles.
All: Hear! Hear!
Spike: Thank you, friends from Egypt. I bring greetings from my friends and family, especially my brother Snoopy. He will be flying in shortly.
Lupinium: I heard he had learned how to fly. I wonder if he could give me a few lessons.
Spike: It’s not as easy as all that. Still, I’m sure he can give you some tips on how to be chaotic.
Ora Z: Ooh! Can I learn too?
Spike: Of course.
Puckmosis: I think there will be some history to learn as well.
Elvis-Anum: And maybe scrolls to transcribe.
Beatrixia: I’ll look in the 900s to find history we may have.
Queen Cat: This is a most auspicious celebration. And here’s a toast to the human who made it all possible: Charles Schulz!
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: By the power vested in me as Queen, I declare The Week of Gratitude open.
All: Hear! Hear!
Beatrixia: I have located a number of scrolls in the Pretty Good Library about Gratitude stories lost in futurity.
Puckmosis: Can you give us some examples?
Bea: Sure. There is one where the descendants of the Royal Procurers pull off a great pie heist. Unfortunately, they had tummy trouble the rest of the day until Lupinium’s descendant brought them a bottle of Pink Pep.
Iggy: I have heard stories of a great tree that many of our descendants enjoy climbing in.
Thomios: And I understand my kibble pie recipe has passed down through the generations.
Queen Cat: It seems we all have stories of gratitude.
This Sunday.
