We called it “Vocabulary” homework, and we had to be able to spell the word, write out its definition and later, match it to the meaning when the quiz time came up in english class.
Hang on now, we honeymooned in Halifax Nova Scotia and it was pretty good, especially the lobster dinner at ‘Your Fathers moustache’ , which still exists to this day. However they no longer have lobster on their dinner menu. So perhaps some of the allure of Halifax has dimmed a little over time.

Unfortunatley, me too. I would however posit, that the present president, by being beholden to a whole lot of fringe special interests who also happen to control most universities and most major journalism networks, has allowed much more damage to occur to our American culture. The beliefs that ‘follow your heart’ and ‘be true to yourself’ and ‘the system has failed me’ might not be repairable for several generations.
I’ll vote for you, if you vote for me. At least I’ve got a good costume to wear in front of the cameras. Guaranteed we’d get some good press, their cameras would be glued to us. That’s better than PAC money for gathering the GOP/DNC nomitization because they are addicted to covering a good spectacle. Now we just need to choose which party affiliation to run under.

Wally was behind everyone, nearly got flattened by a falling car, got catapulted onto the deck of the falling ship, that collided with a sky scraper. He & the ship have just cut through the center of the building and he blasted out the window on the other side of the building, barely ahead of the explosion of splintered jetsam. The whole merged superstructure is sinking into the sands of the yet-unknown reality; Whether the others made it to the waters edge, or were likewise caught up in the interdimensional collision remains unknown.
