Grandparents are an integral part of a child’s life and, especially, growth. There’s a special bond between those two generations and, more importantly, a channel of communication. It’s natural for people to have some difficult with authority, and people in authority (parents, here) to have perspective, so that other familial outlet is vital. The American family has been ravaged over the past 60 years or so with the absence of grandparents from a child’s early life.
I got rid of the carpet and have tile or composite floors, throughout the house. I have a rug by the sink and a runner in the entryway. Cat made a beeline to hit the runner, yesterday…
My once $350 built-in, GE microwave broke so I looked at the cost to replace it: $500 for oven AND another $350 to replace the facing because GE’d “kindly” changed the opening (Third time in 20 years). SO I paid $250 to have it repaired and thought: “Four-out-of-Five daily uses are boiling water…” So, I bought $50 cheapo from Wal*Mart and haven’t regretted it since.
