Thought you were talking Venice, Italy. I’ll accept the gaffe on that one. Doesn’t change the fact that this is stuff I’ve seen with my own eyes. Hist stuff is based in SoCal, where red runs rampant (and VERY heavily biased). I’ve seen a couple of his videos and he doesn’t say anything I haven’t heard other Republican Californians say (Bit of background: I’m neutral and tend to take anyone who leans a hard left or right, like GiV, with a tiny grain of salt. Reason being is they tend to rely more on emotion over facts.). The results speak for themselves, but emotions run high with Republicans in California. Businesses leaving? People leaving in droves? That’s ALWAYS been Republican sentiment. What they never report is many other states are having the same effect, even red states like Texas and Florida. Yet people wanna focus on California? This is a tired attempt at attacking the state since at LEAST the 50’s. If this was true, California would have been a ghost state by now. People migrate to other states, businesses grow and wanna flourish elsewhere. It’s just a fact of life, socially speaking. Just because people like GiV are afraid of change (and some even reject it outright) doesn’t mean change is always a bad thing. As people leave, people enter as well. Funny how people who hate a state never talk about that…

There’s no way this will end well, but I can’t help but love how they both aren’t giving up on pursuing their dreams and are supportive of each other on the whole branding thing. I don’t know why, it’s just cute to me!

What part of “with my own eyes” are you failing to register? Yes, I have friends in various parts of the state, but of the cities you listed, I live closer to them and have seen them FOR MYSELF. Nice try with the gaslighting, but as you are relying on information from someone who doesn’t even so much as live in the same country, let alone the same state, because “he’s a super genuine guy.” Yeah, maybe so, but I prefer to see the truth for myself and from someone who’s actually there, not from someone who’s never grown up in the areas in question. If this was about Venice, yes, I’d take his word for it much more seriously. But I’ll listen to a Californian (Republican and Democrat) about Californian issues. It’s just logical.

I prefer to see things with my own eyes. None of this “he-said-she-said” that you like to soak up like a sponge. I tried giving you input DIRECTLY from California, and from the locations you named, but you still choose to ignore and believe the blatant lies. Let the record show I tried :/

I know you didn’t actually mean Californians are terrorists (I am one). Just you were pointing out that Fern is a pro-extremist. He never denied being one in past arguments either, for the record. He never denied being pro-fascism either, so let that tell you his mindset. The kid is mentally ill and a danger to the country. Trying to reason with someone with so much hate ingrained in them is a waste of time.

Notice Swamp never denied being a homophobe? Or that he tends to lean towards the fear-mongering argument? Like you said Clay: “When Republicans tell you who they are, believe them.”

That’s the excuse we were told. And a real good one, I admit. The reality is the job itself never lost value and it was never about the youth pushing themselves. Don’t get me wrong, I agree there needs to be jobs that don’t settle either, but that’s what internships and seasonal positions are for. The solution is already there in that regards. The other solution is to raise the work standards of people who work in an entry level job, regardless if it’s a fast food place or not. We all worked retail in some capacity or another. We’ve seen how little management actually cares about the quality of our work, so long as the quota is met, or something like that. THAT needs to stop. We need to make entry level jobs living wages again, but we also need to raise the standard of quality for management and professionalism. That also stagnated, or even fell, since the 60’s.

I live a half hour away from San Francisco. 10 minutes away from Oakland. at least an hour from Sacramento. And I have friends who lives near Beverly Hills in SoCal. No stores? Clearly, you never actually drove down these streets and like to be fed the garbage you’re told. A LOT are overpriced, but there are plenty of places to shop there. Read what I told Swamp about the wage and profit gap. I know I’m wasting my breath with you, but I have to try.

I don’t care what you say: This was cute. That last panel was very cute!
