So familiar to everyone who has multiple cats. Everyone plus the dog samples everyone else. Last night a scuffle broke out near the dog’s dual water and food stand and the water went all over the floor. After a long day of doctor appts for hubs with a hospital admission as a finale, I lost it and yelled at all of them individually and collectively. None were impressed.

Bacterial pneumonia is a sneaky and persistent thing. Hubs now in hospital on IV antibiotics as the tablets were not working fast enough. Could be short or long stay depending on how it goes. So that is taking precedence over the other problems that will eventually need to be addressed. Looking like a long winter possibly involving larger hospitals and specialists a much longer drive away. So, if you would all be so kind….unleash the Orb’s healing vibes!

    Thanks gang!

We’re all a bunch of pet people and I am with you in the hope that eventually all of us, in whatever form, find ourselves overwhelmed by a stampede of pets as we come to the Rainbow Bridge. ( Personally I hope the horde also includes parakeets. ). Our clowder and I send waves of healing orb power to MrrrCavity, May he long remain with you! Hugs.

Oh poor both of you. Sending many boops and purrs for best possible outcomes.

Good point! When I was in hospital and then rehab with a hip replacement, the care center had to buy meats and some other things at the local grocers. It turns out that many health centers use the same vendors as restaurants and bring a lot of main dishes in that are prepared offsite and delivered frozen. The poor kitchen staff kept bringing me ingredient labels to vet. I ended up with a lot of plainly steamed or baked cod…not my favorite fish…and plain canned veg. I was really glad to get home!

Many good wishes. Yes gluten free is not easy as there are a lot of things with stealth gluten. You must become a reader of labels. I have found that if you cook fresh food at home with very selective use of prepared condiments and sauces that you can eat very well. There are breads and pastas available, some better than others. I have found that things meant to be crisp like crackers are less disappointing than most breads. Gluten is what imparts the elasticity to wheat doughs and you just can’t imitate that. GF sourdough and rye are the hardest to find. Good luck MIL, be sure to follow the diet or your digestive system will remind you why that is a good idea.
