    I played HS football. It was a rite of passage for a lot of us guys – prove your toughness. Looking back, it was my least favorite sport to play. Of course what they taught you in the early ’70’s is today the wrong way to tackle and block and leads to brain injuries. Today I oversee claims litigation and some of our insureds are schools. Football and cheerleading (with all the stunts) are the leaders in brain injuries. Cheer is usually done on harder surfaces with no protective equipment.
