I like celery – raw with a dip, or in tuna or egg or chicken (or chickpea) salad. With mirepoix (onion, carrot, celery) is how a lot of my soup, stews, sauce, whatever recipes start. I have even added thinly sliced celery to a fresh green salad. Too much celery or celery leaves in a recipe is very possible (unlike garlic – you can never have too much garlic) so I while I like celery I keep a close eye on the measurements and how much I’m using (less is more.) :)

it’s not about gender – it’s ultimately about enforcing gender roles. What roles in life should women have. That’s what this is about. When women (or any other group) are shut out of something there is a group of people – men and women who are happy and think it’s wonderful and a good thing. Because women (or any other group) do NOT belong there.

I’m betting that-a-audience gets up on it’s feet for the “whoaaaah ahhhhh Whooaaah” part. Gonna Rise UP!

Oh jeez, I heard that in Lin Manuel Miranda’s voice: "I’m not throwing away my shot! … I’m just like my country… I’m young scrappy and hungry! "

Unfortunately, I like BOTH kinds of storytelling – the all in one picture/strip kind as well as the longer many strips story arc. If the story arc seems tedious – might I suggest changing your “reading schedule” for this strip to once or twice a week? I find the longer arcs more satisfying when I read a handful of them in a row and then go back and really look at each daily strip to take in all the detail.

I am not in New York. My employer has offices in New York and back then one in one of the Towers. One employee died that day. I did go into my downtown office job as usually (not in New York) and my employer sent us all home. As did most of the other businesses. The incoming tide of workers became an outgoing tide of workers. Once I was home – it was oddly silent – the nearby airport was shut down, there were few cars on the road, even the nearby train noise went silent (once the last commuter train left the city) as the usual heavy freight traffic stopped. It was a sad and scary day.

Perhaps an impromptu “wake” for the fallen castle is in order. The kittens may need to process the “grief” or “disappointment” of the loss of the castle and remembering how each contributed and how wonderful it was would help. And then on to bigger things! (so says the woman that hums taps as she pours the yeast that died because the water or milk was too hot down the drain. Lets me move past the failure and restart the process for the bread or “cake” I’m making. :) )

It does add to the Mystery that is Jules. I was very happy to see him make an appearance. And the comic is beautiful!
